"Isn't this the best gluten free pizza in the world?!"- Mari, our server.
Why yes, Mari. It sure is.
Entering this quaint restaurant, we were welcomed with smiles and friendly faces. I had done my research on the "Find Me Gluten Free" app and had read wonderful reviews. The staff was very knowledgeable of gluten sensitivity and Celiac disease and immediately put me at ease. As I sat down, I noticed numerous awards from all over the world on the wall for their pizza. I felt as though we were sitting in a restaurant in Italy itself. I started off with a Caesar salad, but what came next was amazing. It's the best gluten-free pizza that I have ever had. A close second was a pizza that I had in Rome, Italy, but this topped it.
I ordered the Pugliese (pictured closer to the camera), which is a tomato-sauce with made-in-house mozzarella, ham, and onions. Joe ordered the Norcia, which has mozzarella, portobello mushrooms, sea urchins pulp, truffle burrata, and truffles shaves. As you can see from the missing slices, our excitement for tasting trumped the photo op. Both were undeniably delicious.
Our server, Mari, encouraged us to order the tiramisu for dessert, which was no mistake. It's not pictured, as I got a little too excited (again) when it it the table. On top of it, the chef served us the tiramisu complementary. I cannot speak highly enough of this restaurant.
If you are ever in the area, it is definitely worth the visit.
